Adelaide P. Andrade, 96, of Fall River, wife of the late Manuel Andrade, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Vincent P. Castro and the late Adelaide (Nunes) Castro.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as a sewing machine operator in the local garment industry for many years. A true homebody, Adelaide very much enjoyed taking care of her home and family. She also had a good sense of humor and was considered to be a bit of a "jokester".

She leaves: her loving son, Louis Andrade and his wife, Maria, of Naples, Florida, and Westport, Massachusetts; her two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her siblings, Alice, Theresa, and Lionel; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Rose DeAndrade.

Mrs. Andrade was laid to rest on Saturday, February 13th, with a private committal service at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
