Obituary

Adeline J. "Lena" (Ciarlone) Colaneri, 94, of 986 Cherry St. died February 3, 2008 at Sakonnet Bay Manor. Widow of Frank J. Colaneri. Born in Fall River and a lifelong resident, she was daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia Ciarlone. In 1953, after the hurricane, she and her husband established Frank's Overhead Door. In 1976, along with her husband and son Francis, established Bay Sailing Equipment from where she retired at age 87. She had been an active member of the Fall River Chamber of Commerce, the Holy Rosary Women's Guild and the Tiverton Yacht Club. She also co-chaired the Fall River Republican City Committee. Lena is survived by her son Francis, daughter-in-law Pamela, granddaughter Rebecca and sister Josephine Brisbon. She was also the aunt of David Ciarlone, Eric Brisbon, Christine Oliveira and Dorothy Hannigan. She was also the sister of the late Nicholas Ciarlone. Her Funeral Mass, celebrated by Father Barry Wall, was offered on Thursday (2/7) in Holy Rosary Church. Committal services were held at St. Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Ciarlone, Joseph Hannigan, Eric Brisbon, Matthew Oliveira, Dennis Shriver and Jay Enos.
