Adelino C. Farias, 73, of Fall River, husband of Natalia (Papoula) Farias, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Pilar, Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Joao Bento Farias and the late Maria Encarnacao Cordeiro.

Prior to his retirement he was an assembler for American Dryer for many years. An avid Sporting fan, he also loved cooking, fishing, and, in his younger days, playing soccer. He enjoyed traveling back to his homeland in the Azores to visit family. A long-time parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church, he served as Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Most notably, Adelino was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family and loved spending quality time with all of them.

Besides his loving wife of forty-seven years, he leaves his children, Bill Farias and his wife, Kenia, of Swansea, and Kelly Jorge and her husband, Justin, of Fall River; his grandchildren, Gabriella Farias, Emma Farias, and Olivia Jorge; his sister, Angelina Farias of the Azores; one brother, Juvenal Faria and his wife, Mariana, of Somerset; and many nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, December 29th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
