Adriano M. Matos, 48, of Fall River, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at home after an illness. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of Maria Eugenia Almeida of Fall River and the late Luis Matos, he emigrated to Fall River in 1985. He was employed in the boat manufacturing industry. Besides his mother, he is survived by: siblings, Lucia Carvalho of Fall River, Mario J. Matos and Madalena Andrade both of St. Michael, Azores, Maria Damasio of Bristol, RI and Paul Matos of Toronto, Canada; and many nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers Jose, Lucio and Arnaldo Carvalho, Brian Oliveira, Robert Vieira and Ildberto Damasio brought Adriano to his final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
