Agnes Soares, 95, formerly of Fall River, passed away Saturday at Somerset Ridge. Widow of William Soares. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Antonio and Antonia (Branco) Goncalo. A retired textile worker, she had worked at the former Sagamore Shirt and Shelburne Shirt Companies. Beloved mother of William Soares (wife-June) of Swansea; sister of James 'Chubby' Goncalo of Bristol, Henrietta 'Honey' Raposa of Tiverton and the late Manuel and James Goncalo, Mary Messier, Laura Viveiros, Belmira 'Bella' Medeiros, Beatrice Silvia, Delia 'Dina' Perry, and Winifred 'Winnie' Bento. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, July 2, in Good Shepherd Parish Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
