Agnes Vasconcellos, 89, of Fall River, passed away Thursday at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home. Widow of Tobias F. Vasconcellos. Born in Bristol, RI, daughter of the late Abel and Maria Vieira. After graduation from Bristol High, she worked at McLellan's Department Store in downtown Bristol. She later met and married her husband of 43 years, after listening to him play his trumpet at a church feast. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Agnes was an impeccable homemaker, savvy shopper and warmhearted cat owner. We will remember her smiles and gentleness. Beloved mother of Tobias V. Vasconcellos (wife-Michelle) of No. Attleboro and Ann Marie Medeiros (husband-Gilbert) of Assonet; grandmother of Joseph Tobias Vasconcellos; sister of Mary Silvia of Bristol and the late Abel, Joseph and Manuel 'Corky' Vieira and mother-in-law of the late Barbara (Feitelberg) Vasconcellos. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated by Father Michael Racine on Monday, March 2nd, in St. Bernard Church, Assonet followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
