Aida Maria Botelho, 81, of Fall River, passed away at home on Friday, November 6, 2020 after an illness. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Manuel Botelho and the late Maria (Sardinha) Botelho, she emigrated to Fall River in 1968, and was a lifelong resident of Fall River.

After attaining a bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State College, Aida went on to earn a master's degree in education from Brown University and taught in the Providence public school system for 36 years. Aida dedicated her life to caring for her parents and siblings. She also had a generous heart and contributed to many charitable organizations.

She was the sister of Maria O. Botelho of Fall River and the late Clodomiro S. Botelho and the late Duarte M. Botelho. Surviving her are also several cousins, living here in the U. S. and abroad in the Azores.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church on Tuesday, November 10th, fllowed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
