Obituary

Alan A. Mais. Jr., 84, of Somerset and husband of the late Edna Mae (Corbin) Mais, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Alan A. Mais, Sr. and the late Anastasia (Corser) Mais.

A United States Navy Veteran, he proudly served his Country during the Vietnam Era. He had a deep love of family and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his children and grandchildren. A social man he also enjoyed playing racquetball for many years. He also loved boating, gardening, technology and travelled extensively during his working years.

He leaves: his loving daughters, Candy Courchesne and her husband, Michael, of Florida and Kelly Medina and her husband, Randall, of Somerset; his eight grandchildren, Alan, Laura, Jasmine, Cory, Ryan, Randall Jr., Taiylor, and Heaven; eight great-grandchildren, Natalie, Amelia, Emma, Brooke, Sophia, Marley, AJ and Layla; his sisters, Elle Lee of California and Irene Barnard Weiss of Florida; dear friend Mary Santos, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Following his private cremation (plus a weather delay), a visitation period was held on Saturday, February 26th, in our Somerset Chapel.

Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support. If you were unable to do so, because of this pandemic or any other reason, all are urged to express their sympathy online or by mail.
