Albert Desire Ponsart, 85, of Fall River, former husband of Albertina (Crepeau) Ponsart, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Marlborough Hills Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of the late Desire Ponsart and the late Maryanne (Braga) Ponsart.

Prior to his retirement he worked for the City of New Bedford Water Department for many years. A very outspoken and hard-working man, Albert also loved spending quality time with family and friends.

Besides his former wife (with whom he remained very friendly), he leaves several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maryanne Mangon and the late Lorraine Santos.

His funeral arrangements were private.
