Alda (Martins) Ferreira, 54, of Fall River, wife of Antonio J. Ferreira, died Monday 3/14/11 at home after an illness. Born in Praia da Vitoria, Terceira, Azores, daughter of Leonel & Lurdes (Gouveia) Martins of Canada, Alda emigrated to Fall River in 1998. Besides her husband, she is survived by: 8 children, Marco, Tony, Sonia, Sandra, Ana, Emanuel & Tiago Ferreira, and Dario Martins; 5 siblings, Leonel, Jorge, Eduarda & Filomena Martins, and Antonio Henrique; 16 grandchildren; many nieces and nieces. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, March 18th, at Espirito Santo Church followed by a commital service at the Notre Dame Mausoleum.
