Alda M. (Corvelo) Raposo, 86, of Fall River, widow of Joao Raposo, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at St. Anne's Hospital after a long illness. Born in St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Jose Joaquin Corvelo and the late Maria da Conceicao Medeiros, she emigrated to Fall River in 1988. A homemaker for many years, Alda dedicated herself to raising and caring for her large family. She was a member of the Evangelical Baptist Church.

She is survived by: ten children, Dinarte Raposo, Zelia Pereira, Joao Luis Raposo, Emanuel Raposo, Maria Raposo, Luisa Raposo, and Ana Paula Alves all of Fall River, Patricia Pacheco of Berkley, Natercia Burgos and Lucia Rebelo both of Fall River; two sisters, Cisaltina Valerio and Isaura Botelho both of St. Michael, Azores; 24 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great, great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. Alda was also the mother of the late Carlos Raposo; and sister of the late Jole Corvelo, Palmira Botelho, and Giselia Tavares.

Her Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, August 3rd, in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
