Aldina (Nicolau) Rapoza, 93, of Fall River, widow of Louis Rapoza, died peacefully in her sleep the morning of Nov. 27, 2015. Born and raised in Westport, daughter of the late Frank & Gloria (Vital) Nicolau, she resided in Fall River most of her life until the last year and a half she returned to Westport. She was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry for many years until her retirement in 1984, after which she worked part-time at Making Waves Hair Salon. An avid card player, she enjoyed playing every night up until her recent illness. She also loved traveling, bingo, Foxwoods, and most of all being together with family & friends reminiscing. She leaves behind her loving family: son, Ron Rapoza (wife Karen), daughter, Eileen Santos (husband Greg); grandchildren, Lori Hartley (husband Peter) & Keith Rapoza; brother, Manuel Nicolau; loving friend & caregiver, Sandra Cahoon. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Joseph Nicolau, Mary Pacheco, Mary Oliveira, Ludwina Pequita, Hilda Pacheco & Leontine Gaspar. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, December 1st, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
