Alexandrina Moniz also known as "Almerinda", 93, of Sodom Rd., Westport, died Wednesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Widow of Mariano Moniz. Born in Arrifes, S. Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Antonio and Georgina (DaCosta) Lopes. Beloved mother of Fatima Cordeiro (husband-Carlos) and Olga Alves (husband-Joe) both of Westport, Eusebio Moniz (wife-Odelia) of Fall River and Alzira Daponte (husband-Adelino) of Canada. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, February 8, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
