Alexandrina M. Ouellette, 95, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2020 at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness. She was married for sixty years to the late Emile J. Ouellette who passed away in 2004. Born in Westport, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Carvalho and the late Maria (Martin) Carvalho.

She, along with her late husband, owned and managed Emile's Superette on Sanford Road in Westport for thirty-two years. Later in life, she also worked at the Highland Laundromat for several years. She loved dancing at the Holy Ghost Club, playing the card game "rough", bingo, and horse-racing games. A thirteen-year resident of Southpointe Nursing Home, she served on the Residence Council there and volunteered at the gift shop. For the last ten years, Alexandrina loved writing letters to all of her family and friends and very much enjoyed receiving flowers, boxes of envelopes, stickers, pens, and cards.

The family of Alexandrina would like to express their appreciation to the entire staff at Southpointe Nursing Home and St. Anne's Hospital (St. Catherine's Unit) for the exceptional care she received.

She leaves: her loving children, Judith A. Tripp and her husband, Harold, of Westport, and E. James Ouellette and his wife, Deborah, of Seekonk; her three grandchildren, Kristy Tripp-Silva, Kerry Tripp Mello, and Kyle Tripp; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Carvalho, Diana Nunes, Adelaide Jones, Manuel Carvalho, Antone Carvalho, Cecelia Medeiros, and Louis Carvalho.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, August 29th, in the Holy Trinity Parish Church, Fall River, followed by her private committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
