Alfred C. Blanchette, 83, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday at Somerset Ridge. Husband of the late Catherine (Saheed) Blanchette. An Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion in Westport. Following his retirement from Texas Instruments in Attleboro, he worked at LaCava & Sowersby Auto Parts until his illness. Beloved father of Frederick Blanchette (wife – Angela), Alfred Blanchette (wife – Sheri) and Kathleen LaCava (husband – Paul). Al also leaves 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, December 13, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal with military honors at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
