Alfred H. Lavoie, 62, of Fall River, passed away Saturday after a brief illness. Husband of Eduarda (Caieiro) Lavoie formerly China. Born in Fall River, son of the late Gerard and Alice (Lizotte) Lavoie. A graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1968, he went on to serve in the US Army and Reserves for 36 years, retiring from the 249th EN BN, Delta Co. He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling and stock car racing. Al never met a stranger, he was loved by everyone who knew him. Beloved father of Christopher (wife-Jennifer), Maryjo and Alfred J. Lavoie; Jason, Brian (wife Tiona) and Amanda China. Brother of Leo Lavoie (wife-Dorothy), Bernadette Johnson, Madeline Mitchell (husband-John) and Alice Wise (husband-Robert). He also leaves 5 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. His burial with military honors was at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
