Alice (Ago) Brownell, 95, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2017. Born on July 21, 1921 she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford.  She was the daughter of the late Mary (Enos) Alfonse.

She was employed as a stitcher for many years.

She was the Loving Mother of Sandra Lee Daigle of Westport, Bruce Wayne Brownell of New Bedford and Doreen Dale Brownell of New Bedford; Grandmother of Jillian L. Daigle, Eryn N. Daigle, Jake A. Brownell and Tara D. Brownell; Great grandmother of Isabella G. Daigle and Kaleb A. Vitorino and the late Jasmine Lee Leeming. She was the eldest of her siblings; the late Hilda Bush and the late William Ago. Per Ms. Brownell's request, services were held privately.
