Alice (Azevedo) Cieto, 96, of Swansea, wife of the late Joseph Cieto, Jr. who predeceased her in 1963, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2018. Alice graduated from Durfee High School class of 1939 and worked at various sewing shops in the city, retiring from Stella Anne Frocks, and also worked part time for Edgar's Department Store at the Swansea Mall for 10 years. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Manuel and Isabel (DeCorte) Azevedo.  She leaves: her children, Sharon Charrette, Janice Habild and her husband Jurgen, Alan Cieto and his wife Patricia Daly, and former daughter in law Dale Castanino, and a former son in law Philip Charrette; 5 grandchildren,  Susie Habild, Lori Friedrich and her husband Erich, Lisa Gartner and her husband Don, Christopher Cieto and his wife Sarah, and Aaron Charrette and his wife Maeve; 5 great-grandchildren, Ally Friedrich, Austin Gartner, Hannah Cieto, Rosalie Cieto, and Ford Charrette; and many nieces and nephews. Brothers-in-law Ret. Deputy Chief Alan W. Cieto and Herky (wife Carole) Cieto. She leaves her dear friend Vinny. She was also the sister of the late Virginia Silva, Isabel Duarte, Elizabeth Tripp, Albert Azevedo, Walter Azevedo, and John Azevedo. Following a private cremation, Her Memorial Mass was celebrated on January 27th, in St. John of God Church, Somerset.
