Alice (Soares) Costa, 100, formerly of Somerset, widow of Cazimiro Costa, passed away Wednesday 2/13/13 at Country Gardens Nursing Home, Swansea. Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Eugenio & Isabel (Medeiros) Soares, she was the youngest of many siblings, and devoted her life to her family, including 13 children: John (wife Peggy), Raymond (wife Roseanne) & Cusmedo (wife Karen) Costa, Irene Ferreira, Alice Oliver, Constance Jack, Carolyn (husband Ernie) Nunes, Marylou (husband Johny) Oliveira, Lillian (husband Bob) Crosby, and Priscilla (husband Arnie) & Donna (husband Kenny) Lacerda, and the late Louie & Louise Costa. Also survived by 30 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated on February 19th at St Patrick Church in Somerset. She was laid to rest at St Patrick Cemetery in Somerset. Special thanks to the staff at Country Gardens for their caring and professional service.
