Alice Raposa, 79, formerly of Boyden St., passed away on December 21, 2009 after a long illness. Born in Fall River and a life long resident, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary (Rocha) Raposa. A retired trimmer, she was a member of the ILGWU (now UNITE). Alice was the sister of Theresa Raposa and the late Bella Nunes, Lucy Botelho and Mary F. Wright. She also leaves her caretaker, (niece) Mary-Lou Fanfara and many other nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Holy Trinity Parish Church on Thursday (12/24)with committal prayers following at Notre Dame Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Botelho, Walter Fanfara, Tony Miranda and Walter Fanfara Jr. Donations in her memory can be made to the Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 1525, Fall River, 02722.
