Alice "Ferreiras" Viveiros, 96, of Fall River, widow of Manuel P. Viveiros, passed away peacefully at Catholic Memorial Home on Friday. A very talented seamstress, Alice's greatest joy was spending time with her close-knit family, especially cooking for them at her home. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel Jose and Maria Teresa (Martins) DeArruda. She leaves her two sons, Jose Manuel Viveiros (wife-Ana) and Manuel Jose Viveiros both of Fall River; two daughters Maria Isabel Silva (late husband-Guilherme) of Toronto, Canada, and Maria Teresa Viveiros (husband-Hermano) of Fall River; a sister Ilda DeArruda of Fall River; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Alice was also the sister of the late Maria DeArruda and Helena DeArruda and grandmother of the late Paul Silva. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, January 17th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
