Alice (Attar) Zitano, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 10, 2010. Widow of Antone S. Zitano. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Attar, she was loving mother to Bruce, Dean and Wayne Zitano and to her daughters-in-law Sharon, Leslie and Donna; adoring Grandma to Scott, Stacy, Jared, Amanda, and Matthew; devoted "G.G." to Seth, Riley, Zachary, Nathanial, Brenan, Garrett, Bella and Breanne; sister to Jeanette Halliwell, Jamel Ellery, Lorraine Ridgely, brothers Toffee, Jamiel, George, Albert and Henry Attar and the late Nassiff and Samuel Attar. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy and achievement was her family. She also enjoyed socializing with her friends and playing poker. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated in Holy Rosary Church. Pallbearers Thomas McCabe, George, Matthew and Marc Attar, Michael Inman and Greg Ridgely brought Alice to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
