Almerinda Constancia, 89, of Fall River, widow of Manuel Constancia, passed away Tuesday at St.Anne's Hospital. Born in St.Michael, Azores daughter of late John and Maria (Fernandes) Cordeiro. Almerinda worked in the local textile industry until her retirement at age 62. She had a passion for cooking and loved her garden. She also enjoyed watching television, especially Gilligan's Island, The Three Stooges, and her soap operas. But most of all she loved being with her close-knit family. She is survived by her three children, John Constancia (wife-Margarida), Joseph Constancia (wife-Doreen), and Fatima Rego (husband-Filomeno). She also leaves 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Fernandes, Alise Fernandes, Delfina Neves, Idalina Pedro, and Conceicao Sousa. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, September 12th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
