Almerinda R. Da Silveira, 93, of Fall River, wife of the late Serafim Silveira, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Fall River Health Care following a long illness. Born in Capelo, Faial, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Rodrigues Pereira and the late Maria Lionarda da Silva.

Prior to her retirement she worked for American Tourister as a sewing machine operator for many years. She loved cooking, baking, gardening, and entertaining. She also enjoyed wintering with her husband in Florida and traveling back to her homeland in the Azores to visit family. But what was most important to Almerinda was spending quality time with all her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves her loving son, Fernando Silveira (late wife, Deborah) of New Bedford; her grandchildren, Anthony Silveira and his wife, Trista, and Devin Silveira; her great-grandchildren, Willie Silveira, Liman Silveira, and Cairo Silveira; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by many siblings.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, April 26th, at St. Bernard's Church, followed by her committal at the Assonet Burial Grounds both in Assonet.
