Alphonso Petrasso, 87, of Fall River, formerly of Westport, husband of the late Gloria (Vital) Petrasso, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Angelo Petrasso and the late Mary (Botelho) Petrasso

Prior to his retirement he worked in shipping and receiving at Sarama Lighting for over forty years. He loved cooking (the best spaghetti and meatballs), bowling, swimming, and, most importantly, family gatherings. Al also enjoyed games, bingo, and camping at KOA Campground in Middleborough, MA.

He leaves his loving children, Alphonso Petrasso,Jr. and his wife, Maryann, of Fall River, Ann Marie Lewis and her husband, Sean, of Tiverton, and Thomas Joseph Petrasso of Swansea; his three grandchildren, Keith Harrop, Christopher Harrop, and Amanda Reis (Nelson); two great-grandchildren, Tanyon Reis and Brayden Reis; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Alfred Petrasso, Dominic Petrasso, Angelo Petrasso, Carmella Carvalho, Adeline Taturi, Caroline Santos, Frances Minville, and Irene Petrasso.

His funeral arrangements were private.
