Alvaro Barboza, 93, of Fall River, husband of the late Mabel (Mello) Barboza, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Anibal and Francesca (de Medeiros) Barboza. Employed by the city of Fall River, Mr. Barboza worked at the water treatment plant for many years. Alvaro was also a World War II veteran.  He leaves his son,  Phillip Barboza of Fall River. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, July 15th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church. His cremation was private.
