Alvaro Cabral, 83, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Friday, surrounded by his family at Catholic Memorial Home. He was the husband of Hilda (Medeiros) Cabral, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Sao Pedro, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Jose O. and Leontina (Machado) Cabral. Besides his wife, Alvaro is survived by his sons, Joseph Cabral (wife - Shelley) of Swansea, Carlos Cabral (wife - Pam) of West Warwick, RI and Paul Cabral (wife - Ann) of Portsmouth, RI; a daughter, Maria Andrade (husband - Louis) of Providence, RI; siblings, Liberio Cabral and Eduarda Ferreira, both of Fall River and Joseph Cabral of Somerset; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, April 9th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
