Alzira S. Pereira, 88, of Fall River, wife of Jose L. Pereira, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Jose L. Pereira and the late Hortense (Silva) Pereira, she emigrated to Fall River in the early 1960s.

She was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry for many years prior to her retirement. Alzira enjoyed cooking, sewing, singing, and spending time with family.

Besides her husband, of 69 years, she is survived by: three children, Bobby Justin (wife Kristin) of Riverside, R.I., Joe Pereira of Fall River, and Teresa Lincoln (Derek Galvam) of Fall River; a sister, Mary Raposa of Westport; four grandchildren, Desiree Justin, Ashley Justin, Brittany Justin, and Brandon Pereira; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, July 28th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery both in  Fall River.
