Amelia O. Carvalho, 85, formerly of Alden St., passed away Monday after a long illness. Widow of Joao "Pintado" Carvalho. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel and Alexandrinha Oliveira. She was a retired textile worker. Beloved mother of Maria Fatima Rego and John Carvalho (with whom she resided); sister of Emilia Pavao. She also leaves several beloved nieces and nephews who were very involved in her care. A special thanks to Frank and Judy Medeiros and the doctors and staff involved in her care at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, September 23, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
