Amilcar C. Azevedo, 86, of Fall River, husband of the late Fernanda (Costa Cardoso) Azevedo, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Tunes, Portugal, he was a son of the late Caetano Azevedo and the late Belmira (de Conceicao) Azevedo.

Prior to his retirement he worked as a filling man in the local textile industry for many years. An avid Sporting fan, he also loved cooking and gardening. Amilcar had a "heart of gold" and was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need, especially to the residents of Borden East.

He leaves his loving son, Alan D. Azevedo and his wife, Christine, of Somerset: his sister, Lucrecia and her husband, Humberto, of Portugal; his brother, Romeu and his wife, Beatriz, of Portugal; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his French bulldog, Zeus. He was the father of the late Paul S. Azevedo and brother of the late Maria Virginia, Adelino and Patroceinia.

Following a private cremation, his cremains were laid to rest, along side those of his late wife and son, at Oak Grove Cemetery.
