Ana Maria Albergaria, 78,
of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Saturday surrounded by her family at
her son's residence. Wife of Francisco M. Albergaria. Born in Ponta Delgada,
St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel and Mariana Medeiros. She was
a school teacher in the Azores for 24 years. Beloved mother of Antonio (wife –
Minda), Nuno (wife – Nita), Francisco (wife – Paula), Joao and Paul (wife –
Daniella) Albergaria and Ana Sarmento (husband – David); grandmother of Shawn
(wife – Taisha); Nikolas (wife – Connie), Nicole, Keith, Briana, Nathan and
Victoria Albergaria, Bianca and Sophia Sarmento; sister of Antonieta Moura,
Joana Taveira and the late Carlos, Zeca and Manelin Medeiros. She also leaves
several nieces and nephews and was expecting her first great grandchild.
Her funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery. In her memory, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
