Andreza (Cabral) Cabral, age 98, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014, at the Highlander Nursing Home in Fall River, following an extended illness. She was the widow of Gauldino T. Cabral. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Joao Cabral and the late Andreza (Rodrigues) Cabral. In 1919, at the age of three, Andreza moved with her family to Relva, on the island of Sao Miguel in the Azores. In 1950, after residing in the Azores for thirty one years, she returned to Fall River with her husband and three children. Andreza was employed as a seamstress for many years at the former M & G Sportswear, and also worked at several other garment shops in Fall River. An accomplished Fado Singer, Andreza also enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, now UNITE, and a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish Church in Fall River. Surviving family members include her son, Manuel R. Cabral (wife Kathryn Brady) of Swansea, MA, her daughter, Mary Pavao (husband Joseph) of Fall River, five grandchildren, Brenda, Brian, Mary Ann, Cindy and Dawn, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late John J. Cabral and sister of the late Joao Rodrigues, Ernest Cabral and Joao Cabral. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, November 12, in Holy Trinity Parish Church on Stafford Road in Fall River followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
