Angela C.
Medeiros
d. Jan 27, 2025
Angela C. Medeiros, 90, of Fall River, beloved wife of the late Manuel C. Medeiros, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025 in the comforts of her home following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Manuel C. Medeiros, Sr. and the late Mary Constance (Sardinha) Medeiros.
Prior to her retirement she worked as a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. She loved baking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and listening to music, especially to Christmas melodies and to the tunes of Connie Francis. She also enjoyed several cruises and traveling to such places as Bermuda, Canada, New York, Washington D.C., Maine, and California. A devout Catholic, she was a dedicated and long-time parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church where she served as Eucaristic Minister, taught CCD, attended many retreats, was a member of the Woman's Guild, and member and past vice president of the St. Vincent Society. Most notably, Angela was a kind and generous woman, devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and who very much valued the time she spent with all of them.
She leaves her four loving children, William Guimond of Bristol, Rhode Island, Ann Marie Burns (late husband, Kevin) of Fall River, Suzan Medeiros Katasonov and her husband, George, of Montreal, Canada, and Julie Carreiro and her husband, Joseph, of Fall River; her nine grandchildren, Megan Tabicas, Jason Burns, Ian Valenta, Jesse Valenta, Ulysse Katasonov, Shalyn Pontes, Kate Carreiro, Nyla Carreiro, and Julie LaChance; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and another "on the way"; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Guimond, Beatrice Valton, and Manuel C. Medeiros. Jr.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday. February 3rd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
