Angelina (Sousa) Moniz, 79, of Fall River, died Friday, September 14, 2007 after a short illness. Widow of Manuel Moniz, and formerly the widow of Luis Carvalho. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose and Angelina (Cabral) Sousa, she emigrated to Fall River in 1970 and was employed in the textile industry at Woodland Mfg Co until her retirement in 1983. Mother of Cidalia Medeiros & Luis Carvalho both of Fall River. Sister of Conceicao Sousa, St. Michael, Azores, and the late Manuel, Luis, Jose Sousa and Maria Rego. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her funeral was held on Monday, September 17, in Espirito Santo Church. Pallbearers were Messias Noud, Brian Cabral, Louis Carvalho, John Aguiar, Steven Medeiros and Jose DeSouza. Cremation was private.
