Aniceto M.
Teves
d. Jul 17, 2022
Aniceto Manuel Teves, 57, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Born in Arrifes, St. Michael, Azores, son of Manuel Medeiros Teves (wife Teresa) of Westport and the late Maria Estrela (Mauricio) Teves, he emigrated to Fall River with his family as a young boy in 1968.
Having studied at Espirito Santo School as a child, he was a 1983 graduate of Bishop Connolly High School and went on to earn a Business Degree in 1985 from Bristol Community College. He worked at Veolia Water as a Project Manager for many years. Prior to his long career at Veolia Water, Aniceto was proud co-owner and manager of Dighton Country Store. He was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church and a member of Knights of Columbus.
Aniceto was a loving, family-oriented man, and a proud and dedicated father to both of his children. He was funny, kind, hard-working, generous and a loyal friend to many. A remarkably strong man who overcame cancer twice, he had a joyful spirit even throughout challenging times. Aniceto had a selfless nature, often putting others first, and always focused on the bright side of life – he lived well.
He was an avid gardener, who also enjoyed cooking for his family. He cherished family time and spoiling his nieces & nephews. He enjoyed going to the movies with his son and going out to eat with his lifelong friends, lovingly referred to as the "Shades of Gray Club" in recent years.
Besides his father, he is survived by: two children, Lorenzo Joseph Teves and Sophia Maria Teves both of Fall River; his former wife, Lisa Marie Colucciello of Fall River; four siblings, Natercia C. Teves-Ferreira (husband Marius) of Naples, Florida, Vilma M. Teves (husband Glenn Amber) of Westport, Nelson Teves of Westport, and Kevin Teves (wife Tricia) of Reading, MA; six nephews, two nieces, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, July 25th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Aniceto's memory to Sophia's Angels in benefit of American Cancer Society at https://mobileacs.org/yjnh7h .
