Anna Arruda, 91, of Fall River and wife of the late Joseph Arruda, Jr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Mathew Cabral and the late Helen (Rego) Cabral.

Anna was employed by Darwood Manufacturing for more than 30 years as a Sewing Machine Operator and was also a Reporter for the Darwood Times. Strong-willed and with a "heart of gold", she was also a devout Catholic and faithfully attended Mass and prayed the rosary daily. Anna also very much enjoyed gardening and baking.

She leaves her two sisters, Mary De Souto of Somerset and Lucille Raposa and her husband, Charles, of New Port Richey, Florida; and several nieces and nephews, including her loving niece Doreen Ferreira, who was also her devoted caregiver. She was also the sister of the late Lena Miranda, Olivia Oliveira, Mathew Cabral, Joseph Cabral, and Helen Carreiro.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, December 21st, in St. John of God Church, followed by her committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Somerset.
