Anna Rita Braga, 70, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Peter M. and Rose (Franco) Braga. A lifelong resident of Fall River and a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1958, she owned and operated Braga Monuments for 30 years. Anna was a very charitable person and enjoyed crafts, photography, walking, painting and gardening. With her friends and family, she often assumed the role of counselor and was known for being an excellent listener. An avid participant in local talk radio, she was affectionately known as "Mrs. Sinatra". She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. Anna is survived by sons, Richard M. Arruda, his wife Jody L. Arruda of Fall River, David P. Arruda, his fiancée Barbara C. Branin of Fall River, and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Dorothea Dowling-Cassidy. Her cremation was private. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday morning at the Calvary Temple, 4321 No. Main St., starting at 10:30 with a service to follow at 11:00. Please omit flowers.
