Antero B. Cabral, 85, husband of Delfina (Melo) Cabral, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Manuel & Rosa (Cabral) Branco, he emigrated to Fall River in 1963. A finish carpenter for 30 years with A. Caponegro Co. of Attleboro, retiring in 1997, he often donated his carpentry skills to his parish, and enjoyed gardening.

Besides his wife, of 56 years, he is survived by: two children, George Cabral (wife Debbie) of Fall River, and Susana M. Cabral (husband Adelino) of Dartmouth; three siblings, Antonio Branco (late wife Maria), Jose Branco (wife Mary Jane), & Gaudino Branco (wife Fatima), all of Fall River; three grandchildren, Melissa (husband Brent), Luke & Mia; a great grandchild on the way; and many nieces & nephews. He was also a brother of the late Maria V. Branco, Rosa Medeiros & Manuel Branco.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 24th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
