Antero Catarina, 82, formerly of Davis St., passed away Saturday after a long illness. Husband of Amelia (Marcelino) Catarina. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Joao and Maria (Mota) Catarina. He worked for many years in the kitchen at Venus De Milo. Father of the late Joao Francisco Catarina; brother of Laura Andrade. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, March 12, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
