Anthony P. Emard, 61, of Adams, MA, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 in Cheshire, MA, the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Fall River, son of Stanislaus H. Emard and Lorraine (Correia) Emard, he resided in Adams for the past 20 years.

Employed for many years as a correctional officer at MCI-Norfolk, he had also served honorably in the U.S. Army National Guard. He loved bowling and riding his motorcycle. A kind and gentle man, he also enjoyed volunteering at a local church in North Adams.

Besides his parents, of Somerset, he is survived by: three children, Phillip Emard of Bradenton, Florida, Janine Mercer (husband Jeremy) of Fall River, and Shelby Emard of Mulberry, Florida; two siblings, Christopher Emard of Somerset and Jacqueline Davis (husband Christopher) of North Dartmouth; three grandchildren, Jacob Emard, Alison Emard, and Caitlin Mercer; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, October 30th, in St. Patrick Church, Somerset, followed by a private cremation.
