Anthony Joseph Pacheco, 33, of Dartmouth, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, due to complications from a stem cell transplant. Born and raised in Fall River, son of Jose Antonio and Maria Helena (Gervasio) Pacheco of Dartmouth, he graduated from Bishop Connolly High School and then went on to earn Bachelor of Science degrees in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from UMass Dartmouth. He was then employed as an acoustics engineer at Material Systems, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wideband sonar transducers and arrays for commercial and defense customers worldwide .

In addition to his parents, he leaves his sister, Christina Pacheco; his girlfriend, Melissa Erman; his maternal grandmother, Maria Estrela Gervasio, his paternal grandmother, Alexandrina Pacheco; and many many aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom he was very close. Anthony was also a grandson of the late Jose Lopes Gervasio and Jose T. Pacheco; and a nephew of the late Decio Pacheco.

Anthony was a very talented musician and singer who played in concert venues all over Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He loved spending time with his aunts, uncles, and cousins at family parties, and his musical performances were often the highlight of those gatherings. Anthony was also passionate about surfing, snowboarding, and soccer.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 14th, in the Holy Cross Chapel of the Parish of St. Mary's Cathedral followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
