Anthony J. Tetuan, affectionately known to family and friends as "Red," age 83, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Diamantina (Moniz) Tetuan. Anthony was a lifelong resident of Fall River – a city he proudly called home throughout his entire life.
Anthony shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Doris (Amaral) Tetuan. Together they built a family that was the center of his life and his greatest source of pride and joy.
Besides his beloved wife, Doris, he is survived by: his daughter, Susan Tavares, and her husband, Joseph Tavares; his cherished granddaughter, Hollie (Tavares) Mitchell, who was his pride and joy, and her husband, Koby Mitchell; and his brother-in-law, John Amaral. He is also survived by several loving nieces and a nephew.
Anthony was predeceased by his siblings, Dominica “Mandy” Fortin, Vincent “Jimmy” Tetuan, John Tetuan, and Nicholas Tetuan.
Anthony had many passions throughout his life. He loved his antique car, motorcycles, camping, gardening, and running. Whether working outdoors, riding in his car, riding his motorcycles, or spending time with family, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Above all else, Anthony's greatest love was his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He treasured every moment spent with those he loved, and the memories he created with them will be cherished forever.
Anthony will be remembered for his strength, his love of family, and the example he set through a life well lived. Though he will be deeply missed, his love and the memories he leaves behind will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
