Antone Mello Botelho, age 91, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center in Somerset. Born in Fall River, Antone was the son of the late Jose DeMello Botelho and the late Diamantina (DaPonte) Botelho. He was the loving husband of the late Lorraine (Hebert) Botelho since 1990, and was also the husband of the late Diamantina Pereira from 1946 to 1989. He is survived by two sons Anthony (wife Donna), and Edward (wife Marie), two grandsons Aaron and David ( wife Michelle) of Charlton, MA, a step-daughter Joanne Lescault and step-son John Keeley (wife Alice), two sisters Lily Corvello and Cecillia Mello, and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. He was predeceased by brothers Joseph, Abel, Alfred, and Arthur and sister Sophia. He served his country in WWII from 1942 through 1945 as an army medic in Europe. He was employed for many years at the Bourne Mills and later FB Rogers Silverware Co. Antone was a wonderful, loving, and caring man with a deep faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Over the years his council, words, and prayers have helped many along the way. His life has been a priceless treasure to his family, friends, and all who knew him. Funeral services for Antone and his wife, Lorraine, were held on Saturday, May 31, in our Fall River Chapel followed by their committal (with military honors for Antone) at St Patrick's Cemetery. A Celebratory Memorial Service following their burial was held at Master Builders Christian Church on Bay St. in Fall River.
