Obituary

Antone Cordeiro, 78, of Mattapoisett, husband of Jacqueline (Oliveira) Cordeiro, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center,  Boston. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Antone Cordeiro, Jr. and the late Wanda (Pitera) Cordeiro, he resided in Mattapoisett for the past 36 years.

Having earned his master's degree at URI, he was employed as an IT Administrator at Raytheon, Waltham, for 35 years. An avid fisherman, Tony enjoyed boating and was always on the water. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, of 61 years, he is survived by: three children, Kenneth Cordeiro (wife Louann) of Somerset, Karen Martin of Tiverton, and Michael Cordeiro (wife Maria) of Swansea; three siblings, Lawrence Cordeiro of Connecticut, Wanda Ferreira of Dartmouth, and Joseph Cordeiro of Fall River; several grandchildren; a great grandson; and nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Debra Cordeiro.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, September 15th, at St. Anthony's Parish Church in Mattapoisett followed by his private cremation.
