Antone T. DeCosta, Jr., 78, of Somerset, passed away Tuesday after a brief illness. Husband of Doris (Boisvert) DeCosta. Born in Fall River, son of the late Antone T. and Blanche (Collins) DeCosta. He was a liquor salesman for over 40 years, retiring from Colonial Wholesale Beverage Company. He was a life member of Fall River Elks. An avid golfer, he was a member of Swansea Country Club and a member of the Swansea Knights of Columbus and their golf league. He was father of David T. (wife Lisa), Steven P. (wife-Sandra), Michael A. (companion Michelle Alves) and Matthew J. DeCosta; grandfather of Seth M, Thomas R., Ryan S., Adam M., Benjamin J. and Kimberly P. DeCosta and William Trahan. Brother of Olive Isadore and Pauline Codega. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated by Father Richard Gendreau on Saturday, January 3, in St. Louis de France Church in Swansea. His committal service followed at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Somerset.
