Antone C. Oliveira, age 87, of Hallmark Nursing Home in New Bedford, formerly of North Ogden and Hope Streets in Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Manuel Oliveira and the late Antonina (Pacheco) Oliveira. A United States Army Veteran of World War II, Mr. Oliveira was employed for many years as a supervisor at the former Shelburn Shirt Company of Fall River. Surviving family members include several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his caretakers, Richard Silvia, Linda Silvia, Megan Silvia and Rose Marie Bolen, who loved and supported him in life and was present with him in his passing. He was a brother of the late Ilda Sousa, Manuel Oliveira, and Joseph Oliveira, and was the loving companion of the late Mary Donovan. His funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary's Cathedral on Spring Street in Fall River on Friday, November 5, 2010. He was laid to rest in St Patrick Cemetery on Robeson Street in Fall River.
