Antone Rego Silva, 70, of Swansea, passed away peacefully on Saturday with his wife and daughter by his side. He was the husband of Geraldine C. (Correia) Silva, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Born in Fall River, son of the late Manuel Rego Silva and Jennie (Zezutek) Silva. Antone was a volkswagon mechanic for 6 years, owned and operated A.R. Silva Trucking for 25 years and retired from Sprague Energy in Providence, RI, after 20 years of service. He enjoyed his cherished corvette and was one of the founders of the former Bristol County Corvette Club in Somerset. Besides his wife, Antone is survived by his daughter, Christine Silva-Adermann and her husband Matt, of Swansea; a brother, Joseph R. Silva of Rehoboth; sisters Marilyn Vezina of Somerset and Anna Mullen of Swansea; and several nieces, nephews, grand horses and grand cats. His Funeral Mass was cxelebrated on Thursday, January 15, in St. Patrick Church followed by his committal in St. Patrick Cemetery both in Somerset.
