Antone A. Souza, 87, of Somerset, husband of Dorothy (Rita) Souza, passed away on Wednesday after a long illness. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Joseph and Maria (Arruda) Souza. He worked in the local textile industry as a supervisor for many years prior to his retirement. Antone was a proud member of the Whaling City Country Club and the Luso-American Foundation. A Navy veteran, he was also a die-hard Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, and, most importantly, spending time with his cherished grandchildren. Besides his wife of sixty-three years, he leaves his two daughters, Sandra A. Souza and Lorie A. Rogers and her husband John of Somerset; two grandchildren, Seth Rogers and Hannah Rogers; a brother, Arthur A. Souza of South Carolina; many nieces and nephews; and his two canine friends, Lilly and Coco. He was also the brother of the late Joseph Souza and Olive O'Neil. His funeral services were private.
