Antonio F. Rodrigues, 70, of Fall River, former husband of Linda (Courville) Rodrigues, passed away at home on Monday, December 11, 2017 after a brief illness. Born in Lomba Da Maia, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Joaquim B. and Candida (Abreu) Rodrigues. Antonio worked as a laborer in the local construction industry before retiring many years ago. A Marine Veteran, he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Antonio was a kind and quiet family man who loved his family dearly. An avid Red Sox Fan, he also enjoyed his long, daily walks throughout the city. Besides his former wife, he leaves: his five daughters, Melissa Sousa and her husband Antone of Dartmouth, Charlene Rodrigues of California, Toni-Marie Rodrigues of Dighton, Candida Randall of Florida, and Tiffany Rodrigues of Foxboro; one son, Jacque Rodrigues of Fall River; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Fatima DeFusco and Mary-Jo Clesius, both of Fall River; one niece and one nephew. His Funeral was celebrated on Saturday, December 16th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal with military honors at St. Patrick Cemetery.
