Antonio Gouveia, 82, of Fall River, husband of Silvina (Amaral) Gouveia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Manuel  and Noemia (Ferreira) Gouveia. He was a parishioner and Sexton at Espirito Santo Church and member of The Holy Name Society, receiving the Marian Medal in 1993. An Army Veteran, he served our country during the Korean War era. A die-hard Red Sox fan, he also enjoyed his trips to Bakersfield, California to visit his daughter and her family. But his greatest in joy in life was simply spending time with his loving wife and family. Besides his wife of fifty-four years, he leaves his children: Steven Gouveia and his wife Gina of Dartmouth and Eileen Cabral and her husband Edward of California; six grandchildren, Steven Gouveia, Sarah, Nicole, Alexis, and Adam Cabral, and Samuel Gouveia; a brother, Robert Gouveia and his wife Fran of Westport; a sister, Irene Gouveia of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, July 7th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
